Five paths to resolving your dispute in civil and contractual matters.

Not every dispute belongs in a courtroom. We assess each matter on its merits and guide you toward the path that delivers the strongest outcome in the shortest possible time - litigation, mediation, or arbitration - while keeping costs under control.

01

Civil Litigation & Small Claims

Pursuing or defending civil and contractual claims in the Magistrate’s and High Courts - from contractual disputes and small claims through to complex commercial litigation.

02

Mediation & Negotiation

Structured mediation and settlement negotiation to resolve disputes without courtroom proceedings - preserving commercial relationships, reducing cost, and giving you control over the outcome.

03

Arbitration Proceedings

Private arbitration as an alternative to court - faster, confidential, and decided by an industry-experienced arbitrator. Ideal for commercial parties who want finality without a public record.

04

Drafting Settlement Agreements

Negotiating and drafting settlement agreements that protect your interests, prevent future disputes, and give you a clear, enforceable path forward.

05

Enforcement of Court Orders

Enforcing judgments and orders when the other side won’t pay or comply voluntarily. Practical steps to turn a paper win into money in your account.

06

Strategic ADR Advice

Honest, early advice on whether to mediate, arbitrate, or litigate - and on the realistic cost, timeline, and likely outcome of each path.

Our approach

Strategy, sensitivity, outcomes not theatre.

We work to protect your rights, reduce your risks, and achieve the strongest outcome possible - so you can move forward with certainty. At every stage, we weigh the cost, the relationship, and the result, guiding you toward the path that best serves your position.

01

The right path, not the loud one

We assess whether to mediate, arbitrate, or litigate - then recommend the path that delivers the strongest outcome in the shortest time.

02

Strategy & sensitivity

Tough on the issues, careful with the relationships. We protect your position without burning the bridges you may need later.

03

Costs under control

Clear, written mandates with capped or fixed fees where possible. You always know what the next step costs before we take it.

04

Confidentiality & discretion

Disputes attract attention. Where the matter is sensitive, we keep it that way - through private mediation, arbitration, or tightly-scoped litigation.

When the stakes are high, you need a legal partner who understands urgency, complexity, and the cost of getting it wrong. We provide clear direction, strong representation, and the strategic insight to resolve your dispute on the best possible terms.

Common questions

Answers before you ask.

Short, honest answers. If you have a question that isn’t covered here, just email Khethu and we’ll come back to you the same day.

Ask us directly
No. Court is one path, but it’s rarely the only one. We assess every matter and recommend the option that delivers the strongest outcome in the shortest time — whether that’s mediation, arbitration, or litigation.
ADR (alternative dispute resolution) covers mediation and arbitration. It’s typically faster, cheaper, and more private than court. It works well when both sides want a controlled, confidential process and a final outcome.
It depends on the path. Mediation can resolve a matter in days. Arbitration typically takes a few months. Court matters run longer. We’ll give you a realistic timeline at the consultation so you can plan.
The first paid consultation is a fixed fee agreed in advance. Once the matter is instructed, a written mandate sets out the fee structure (hourly, capped, or fixed-fee where possible) and the deposit required to start work.
Yes. Where the other side won’t pay or comply voluntarily, we move to enforce — through execution, attachment, or contempt proceedings, depending on what the order allows.
Mediation is voluntary, but it’s often the smartest first move. We prepare your position carefully, then use the process as leverage. If the other side still won’t engage, we move to court from a stronger starting point.
